Beaches, plains, forests, mountains, deserts and swamps.
Diet
Herbivore. With grinding teeth similar to those of an Iguana lizard.
TIME PERIOD
Mid Jurassic to Late Cretaceous (between 130 – 65 million years ago).
Character
This bulky herbivore was one of the most successful species of dinosaur and their fossils are found all over the world. They used their big thumb spikes for defence against predators and foraged for food with grasping fingers, a long tongue, a battery of grinding teeth and a beak for nipping fronds off vegetation.
