Herbivore. Lush water plants, ferns, trees.

TIME PERIOD

 Late Jurassic (157 – 146 million years ago).

 

Character

Babies hatched from eggs the size of cannonballs and grew fast, developing a long, strong neck which contained a network of weight saving air sacs. A single claw on the forelimbs helped to grasp tree trunks whilst it’s small, peg like teeth were used to strip leaves from branches. As adults their long tapering tail
could be whipped to produce a ‘crack’ of 200 decibels, as loud as cannon fire.
